What I Watched Last Week (July 20-26)
What I Watched Last Week is a weekly feature on this blog. Every Monday, I’ll recap the TV, film and sports action I consumed over the past seven days. It will include my thoughts and links for more info.
MONDAY
TV: Yellowstone (Season 3, Ep 5, Paramount)
TV: Last Week Tonight with John Oliver (Season 7, Ep 18, HBO)
TV: I’ll Be Gone In the Dark (Docuseries, Ep 4, HBO)
TV: Desus & Mero (Season 2, Ep 34, Showtime)
TV: Perry Mason (Season 1, Ep 5, HBO). The noir period drama has been renewed for a second season. Fine.
TV: The Office (Season 3, Ep 12, Netflix)*
TUESDAY
TV: I May Destroy You (Season 1, Ep 7, HBO)
TV: P-Valley (Season 1, Eps 1-2, STARZ)
TV: America’s Got Talent (Season 15, Ep 8, NBC). Another clip show. Ugh.
WEDNESDAY
TV: Greenleaf (Season 5, Ep 5, OWN)
THURSDAY
TV: ER (Season 12, Eps 3-5, Hulu)
FRIDAY
TV: Central Park (Season 1, Ep 10, Apple TV+). Season finale. The music is so wonderful. I’m really looking forward to Season 2.
TV: Little Voice (Season 1, Ep 5, Apple TV+)
SATURDAY
Sports: Braves 5, Mets 3 (10 innings) in New York (Fox Sports South). What a comeback with two outs and two strikes in the top of the 9th. So happy to have baseball back. I hope it lasts.
TV: ER (Season 12, Eps 6-9, Hulu)
SUNDAY
Sports: Braves 14, Mets 1 in New York (ESPN). Chipper was fun to listen to as an analyst, and I will always love the play-by-play call from Boog, a former Braves announcer.
